When the grand conjunction happened last December 2020, a new age started and a great opportunity opened before all of mankind. Filipino medieval astrologer Resti H. Santiago believes that we are at the beginning of a new Renaissance period. Changes will definitely happen, “but it won’t happen overnight, of course,” he clarifies. “It is up to us how we’ll ride the energy of the times and adapt to the changes that are coming.” Santiago offers the following advice on how we can harness the energy of Aquarius’ element, which is air, as the conjunction happened in the sign of Aquarius.
Some Aquarian trends we’ll see in the next years
For the next 20 years, the focus will be on machines, computer technology and technology in general, and the use of new systems. This will also be seen in business as the demand for computer and technological innovations increases. Consequently, investments in these fields will most likely be met with success so be in the lookout for innovations and new ideas.
Knowledge will be more valued, as opposed to material or commercial things. It may be helpful to apply math and science to most things. People, in general, must be optimistic, able to adapt to the shifts and to be open to expansion and growth because, after all, the air sign is all about movement, speed and flexibility.
Mastery: How to become a man or woman of the new Renaissance
The sign of Aquarius demands mastery from us, that is if we want to be successful in this new age. And the way to mastery is to learn more, to do things fully, and to commit our time and energy to that which we seek to master. Invest in self development, training, and upgrades. We can incorporate technology and the use of systems in our education and in the reinvention of ourselves and our endeavors.
Meditation will help us get there as it will serve to hasten the process of becoming a Renaissance man or woman. Meditation will allow us to supply the mental energy to our efforts. Like the mystics, we are encouraged to use both the left and right brain–the union of creativity and logic and the balance of mind and emotion.

The luckiest signs in the next decade will be Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. Gemini (ruled by Mercury) is all about gathering information–reading, listening, traveling, and so on. So it would benefit you, for example, to study your competitors and your market. Libra (ruled by Venus) is all about balance, beauty, compatibility, etc. Learn how to strike a beautiful balance in your endeavors. For example, you can make your website more attractive to increase opportunities for success. Aquarius (ruled by Jupiter) is the sign of the people–it is all about altruism, equality, humanitarianism. It will benefit us to share what we have learned and to propagate the good and the positive. To thrive, therefore, in the next 20 years, the key is to learn or study, to balance or systematize, and to share or propagate.
Those who are anti-science, the simple minded, and the computer illiterate are just some of the people who will have the most difficulty thriving in the coming period.
Birth and union
Our task now, as we stand at the beginning of this new era, is to help give birth to a new culture, to create something new. That’s because the shift cannot happen on its own. We can do this wherever we may be–all we need to do is to be inspired enough to create a goal. And then to work on this goal with a clear purpose.
One of the important lessons of the Renaissance is the presence and impact of (some form of) union. This is another key to success at this time. It was not uncommon to find an artist who was also a scientist, for instance. Apply science and/or technology to your art. Find and unite with your muse. Merge with your life purpose.
