Who is Filipino Astrologer?
Filipino Astrologer/Resti Santiago is the leading proponent of Traditional or Medieval astrology in the Philippines. Medieval astrology is the kind of astrology practiced by the advisers of the kings and queens of Europe. It has its roots in Hellenistic Egypt. Manuscripts written by masters from these past eras have recently been translated into English and its transforming 21st-century astrology. Filipino Astrologer is one of the few Filipinos who has been studying the older forms of astrology. He has written astrological timing guides based on the principles of Medieval Astrology that can be of great help to Filipinos.
Filipino Astrologer’s Training
Filipino Astrologer has been studying astrology since 1991, while he was still in college. As with everyone he also began his studies on astrology from the books written by modern astrologers. At age 19, he got well-versed in the works of Liz Greene and Howard Sasportas (founders of Center for Psychological Astrology). He was fortunate enough to have worked at the Theosophical Society in the Philippines (TSP) in the 90’s. TSP housed the largest collection of books on modern astrology in the Philippines.
By 2000, he felt he needed to know more and he took a formal course on Financial astrology, an application of modern astrology, under Kaye Shinker. He finished a three-level course on the subject. Shinker was one of the very first supporters of his astrological timing guides, the prototype of which was developed in the early years of the 21st century.
In 2002, he was introduced to the older systems of astrology and was hooked into it since then. He has taken courses and lessons from Robert Zoller (Certificate on Medieval Astrology), Robert Hand (Spiritual Astrology), Chris Brennan (Hellenistic Astrology) and Gary Price (Horary Astrology).
From 2016-2018, he has taken courses on Mundane Astrology from William Stickevers. Mundane astrology deals with forecasting the fate of nations. He is currently studying under Sharon Knight taking up her Traditional Astrology Diploma Course.
He has also taken courses on Feng shui and Bazi or Chinese Astrology. He took Grow Rich with Bazi from Joey Yap Consulting Group (2016) and Bazi Wealth Mastery from Kevin Foong Feng Shui Academy (2018). In 2019 and 2020, he took advanced studies on Xuan Kong Feng Shui Mastery, Purple White Star, Qi Men Feng shui and Date Selection Methods at Joey Yap’s Feng shui Academy.
He thinks that eastern and western astrology are complementary.
Filipino Astrologer’s Vision
Filipino astrologer believes that Filipinos should go beyond “horoscopes” because real astrology is far richer than what sun-sign symbolisms can offer. Though the word “horoscope” means the astrological chart, in the Philippines it has become synonymous with sun-sign astrology columns. Most Filipinos are not aware that even though horoscopes are based on astrology, it’s not really astrology because it is incomplete.
With his e-books, which features different kinds of calendars and astrological timing guides, he aims to help more Filipinos achieve their goals faster.
Filipino Astrologer thinks that there is a dearth of astrological knowledge in the Philippines. To address this matter he formed in 2009 Astrology Friends Philippines, an informal group of astrology enthusiasts where discussions on astrology are regularly held online and offline. Among the group’s projects is the creation of the Astrology Library. He encourages astrological scholarship that is why he publishes the works of young astrologers in his publications.
For serious astrology enthusiasts who want to learn deeper aspects of astrology, especially the older systems of astrology (Hellenistic/Traditional/Medieval) Filipino Astrologer has developed talks, seminars, and courses for different levels of astrology students.

Filipino Astrologer aims to help more Filipinos achieve their goals with his astrological timing guides.
