The manner in which the new mayor of Manila, Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, was able to capture followers and supporters (and critics, of course) is surprising.
Barely a month into his term, he has already made drastic changes in how the capital city is managed. Some raised eyebrows but personal observation reveal that the majority cheered him on.
Isko Moreno’s rise is like the cleaning of the Bonifacio monument near Manila City Hall that he initiated a month in his term. It’s like a breath of fresh air. He brings in a relatively new kind of politics.
Filipino Astrologer is not at all surprised, armed with the tools of feng shui astrology, Filipino Astrologer has been expecting this development based on the charts.
Forecasted
Published in the book Astro Year 2018 are these projections:
“This is significant because the actions and decisions that we, Filipinos, will be making from July 2018-July 2019, will have an effect on the direction of the country for at least the next 12 years. This period is about building or rebuilding. Yes, the building of infrastructures may be connected with this but more importantly, it is about re-building our self-image and re-fashioning the Filipino soul. This may take some form of soul-searching. The challenges from major planets are going to be working on our psyche.”
In the book Astro Almanac 2019, Filipino Astrologer made a projection on what Manila could expect with the midterm elections. These words proved to be telling:
“Fortunately, Manila will be visited by the Number 1 Star or the Nobleman Star. Hopefully, the capital will put in power a man of noble nature.”
It was not just Manila, but adjacent cities also had their share of the nobleman star energy. In Manila and San Juan, Isko Moreno and Francis Zamora signaled the end of the Estrada clan’s clout in local politics. In Pasig, Vico Sotto promises to be different from that of the previous mayor, whose family had ruled Pasig since 1992.
As the Philippines begins a new 12-year cycle, it is telling that at least at the local level, the Filipinos are trying to redefine what they want and need.
Looking deeper
But the star as of this time is Isko Moreno. That prompted me to check his natal chart to see some astrological pattern or signature that we can check vis-a-vis what he has been saying and doing.
Is it for real or it just a show? Is he aiming for something big or is he bound to be a traditional politician, who shows promise at the start of his term but will eventually be eaten up by the system that breeds corruption? We will try to answer that.
We initially encountered a problem. Manila’s “yorme” (as he calls himself) was born on the day that the Sun changes sign. He is either Libra or Scorpio. We don’t know his time of birth so we won’t focus on his sun sign.
What is interesting is that his Venus is in Libra. This is what makes him a popular choice and darling of the masses. He was after all an entertainer in his younger days. He was one of German Moreno’s talents in the TV show “That’s Entertainment.”
Venus in the sign of beauty gives him good looks and talent and, yes, nobility. Venus is the planet of beauty and the arts and also cleanliness. This also manifests in his desire to bring back the beauty of old Manila.
This is not pure talk, because it seems that he already has a master plan. He’s no neophyte, years of serving the people of Manila as a councilor and vice mayor prepared him for this job.
Jupiter and Justice
Another interesting thing is that his Jupiter is in the sign Pisces. This gives him an interest in justice. He believes in equality and fairness in all things, especially in government dealings. This is the reason why he wants his government to be very transparent.
In modern astrology, Aquarius is related to human rights. Among his recent controversial statements on current issues is his insistence on the need to respect human rights whether it is of the police force or of that of the people, especially the poor.
What I initially found problematic is his weak Mars, which can indicate ningas cogon. But a second look at the chart says this is not something for us to be worried about. His Mars is conjunct Venus, this manifests as his genuine desire to have a dialogue with the people. He has a plan and he tries to win his arguments by talking and listening to his constituents.
Signature of Nobility
Though this analysis is not complete (we don’t know his ascendant sign), I think the three planetary configurations mentioned above say a lot—he is truly the noble man that Manila, that was recently hit by eclipse energy, badly needs.
